Laser eye surgery

Surgeries are typically performed on a Friday.  You are usually at the clinic for about 2.5 hours, to allow for preparation, but the surgery itself normally lasts only a few minutes.  We recommend you bring your sunglasses to help minimise the glare on your way home.

Post-surgery care

Recovery is normally fast, with most patients being able to drive the next day.   To help monitor your progress, we will schedule your follow up appointments.

Understanding your eye condition is the first step

Our Treatments

Customised LASIK

Customised LASIK is a type of laser eye surgery that uses advanced measurements to tailor treatment to your eyes. It’s one of several options we may recommend based on your vision and prescription.

PRK

PRK is a laser eye surgery option that reshapes the cornea to improve vision affected by short-sightedness (myopia), long-sightedness (hyperopia), or astigmatism. It may be preferred for patients with thinner corneas or active lifestyles.

READ

READ is an advanced laser procedure designed for people who wear multifocal or reading glasses. It may help reduce the need for distance and near-vision eyewear by addressing age-related vision changes.

ICL

ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is a procedure where a flexible, clear lens is placed inside the eye. It may be suitable for people who are not candidates for laser surgery but still want vision correction.

Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery replaces the cloudy natural lens with a clear artificial one. This can help improve clarity in bright or low-light settings and support more comfortable day-to-day vision.

Lens Exchange

Lens exchange is a vision correction procedure that replaces the eye’s natural lens with a clear artificial one. It’s often recommended for people with high prescriptions or age-related vision changes, including presbyopia. Unlike cataract surgery, it’s typically performed before the lens becomes cloudy.

Customised LASIK at Vista Eyes

A personalised approach to vision correction surgery using advanced mapping

Vista Eyes offers several laser surgery options, including Customised LASIK with Wavelight Plus. This system helps our team gather detailed measurements of your eye, supporting a treatment plan that reflects your individual needs.

How Wavelight Plus works

Wavelight Plus uses 3D eye mapping to measure the optical system. This data helps guide treatment decisions based on your eye’s unique structure.

Designed around your vision

By capturing detailed 3D measurements of your eye, Wavelight Plus gives your surgeon insights to help shape a treatment plan that’s specific to you.
