Laser Eye Surgery Costs
At Vista Eyes, we understand that, for most people, the cost is an important factor when considering laser eye surgery costs. The cost of your surgery will depend on which procedure is right for you and for your specific condition.
We do not offer a one-size-fits-all approach, but a customised treatment plan designed especially for you and your eyes.
At your initial, free, no-obligation consultation, we will undertake a comprehensive eye assessment. We will take multiple factors into consideration, including:
- Your current age, type of work, and lifestyle
- Your specific condition: short-sightedness (myopia), long-sightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism, cataracts, keratoconus, presbyopia etc.
At this time you will be provided with the best option for achieving the results you’re seeking and a more accurate cost of your specific procedure.
At Vista Eyes, CUSTOMISED laser eye surgery costs are as follows:
Procedure | One Eye | Two Eyes |
Customised LASIK | $ 3,200 | $ 6,400 |
PRK | $ 3,200 | $ 6,400 |
Please Note: the cost (or a proportion of the cost) of your procedure may be covered by your health insurance provider. We recommend that you contact your provider directly to find out if you are covered.
Costs of other types of procedures will be discussed with you at your consultation.

Long Term Investment For Your Vision
When comparing the costs of laser eye surgery versus the costs of glasses and contact lenses over the long-term, you’ll discover that laser eye surgery can be more affordable.
For example, if you are in your 20s and wear contact lenses on a daily basis (we estimate the average cost at $45 per month), over the period of 15 years, you’ll spend $8,100.
Or, let’s say you wear glasses and purchase two new pairs of frames and lenses each year at an average of $250 per pair of glasses, over 15 years, you’ll spend $7,500.
And then there is the next 15 years to take into account.
It’s also important to consider the many ways laser eye surgery will improve your quality of life over the long-term and the time and inconvenience saved in daily maintenance and cleaning.
